A Body of Knowledge and Pedagogy for Global Engineering

Global engineers must be taught to consider the historical and present causes of persistent poverty systematic barriers prosperity. Such training will better inform choices make help move engineering sector away from a product community-level focus towards working address root poverty. A framing for Engineering has recently been proposed by Mortenson Center in at University Colorado Boulder, building on over 15 years curricular efforts. Engineering, as Center, positions field complement Health Development Economics while further embracing historically contextualized anti-colonial training.
